Get the basics right...

Wish I had done my homework today....

While traveling back from school I used to complete my homework... not that I was a nerd but I was crazy about sports... Cricket to be precise. My mom had her basics right in not letting me go to play until I had done my homework... wish she was here to paster me to do my homework today.... Anyways, I used to complete my homework while traveling back from school to home so that I can get a complete 1 hour more to play. I did my basics right then. Why not today?

And there were some days when the school bus used to get late and I used to play soccer and pray for the bus to not arrive at least for an hour. These moments used to be golden as I got to play without doing my homework! Why not today?

Today I did not do my homework. The flight got delayed and I am here,this is me sitting at the airport remembering the golden days. The same rule applies here... if I had done my homework and would have called to find out whether my flight was on time (wish I would have read Kali's blog on learning to fly before I started for the airport), I would have got more than 2 hours to play, keep a book to read while traveling and catch up with some sleep.

But then it is not that bad; as you get to see some of the funniest stuff going around. People are trying to kill time - not literally. Craziest like me are gaging the sound of music in the escalators noise or carefully listening to the same security warnings. Also it has been observed that people while coming out from the rest room tend to either check that their zip is closed..lol..or their jacket is below the waist. Now, this rhythms to the fact that in ping pong a player in most cases looks at the paddle when he/she plays an atrocious shot or in tennis or badminton the player adjusts the guts of the racket as to blame the misalignment for the unforced error.

Wish I could blame my unforced error....

I want to read...

The last book I read was Ayn Rand's Atlas shrugged. The last to last book I read was Ayn Rand's Atlas shrugged. Did I wrote the same line again?

Atlas shrugged is the most influential book just after the bible.

It just happens sometimes that when you read a book which you really liked, you want to read it again. Not only this, if you read something which makes you feel that you were a part of it, you pause.

You cherish every moment of it;
you want to recall every moment of it;
You fear that if you read another book, it will make you lose the feeling which you had reading the earlier one.

Am I trapped? Do I get stuck with impeccable art in any form?

When I listen to music, I get trapped as well. I listen to the same track again and again but the irony being after such acts of madness, I still do not remember the lyrics.

I want to read The Bible, The Bhagwat Gita, The kuran, Godfather, We the living, Gitanjali, Papilon, autobiographies on Gandhi, Hitler, Kiran Bedi.

I know this life will not be sufficient to read such literature. When I will read one, another 10 will add to the list. And the list will go on....

It's time for me to add another 10 i guess....

Indian Ocean

~ I have never seen a live performance of the band.
~ I do not understand the lyrics – Sufism is not my cup of tea.
~ I do not know who plays for the band.
~ I do not know what type of music they play.

But I do know that I love their music…

Every now and then I dream; I see myself on stage. Dream about this note disembarked from me. I see me holding a different instrument in every trance. I see me singing their words. I see people dancing and singing on my tune! The irony is that I do not know even a single instrument. Maybe this is why I dream…

I want to see them craft this art, want to feel the pulse generated right there. I want to dance on their tunes!

Till the time I see me dancing on their tunes, I will be seeing someone dancing on mine!

Majestic display...

I had never seen a Formula 1 race with such enthusiasm before!

It all happened in 1 single race - The European Grand Prix, 2007. There were more than a thousand nail biting moments - The heavy downpour at the start which lead to a flurry of cars skid off the track, Hamiltion beginning at the 10th position reached 4th in a flash and then skid out to resume 17th, Ferrari in total command of the race with only 9 laps to go out powered by the magical display of character and skills by Alonso and Mc Laren to complete the race with +8 seconds of lead, Hamilton's skills demonstration by constantly making 6 consecutive fastest laps to finish 9th from 17th...and the list goes on...

The majestic moment was when Alonso overtook Massa and snatched the race from him. 10 laps to go and it seemed to be a clear victory for the Ferrari and Massa when rain gods came to rescue. 9 laps remaining and all cars started to make pit stops to change their normal tires to intermediate wherein Fisichella came in between Massa (who was leading) and Alonso. With great team work and skills, Alonso overtook Fisichella while exiting from the pit lanes and started to ponder over Massa. With great skills, determination and magical display of character, Alonso overtook Massa and won the European grand prix with over 8 seconds of lead. I have never seen this nail biting finish.

With god's grace and one's fusion of belief, determination and character - there is nothing impossible in this world!
Nothing!

This race has just augmented my love for the game...
